Rogue Nicotine Pouches: Flavors, Strengths, Who Makes Them and Rogue vs ZYN
Rogue is one of the most popular nicotine pouch brands in the US, known for a wide flavor range and for also selling nicotine gum and lozenges. Here’s what you need to know.
Who makes Rogue?
Rogue is owned by Rogue Holdings, a joint venture between Swisher International, a tobacco company based in Jacksonville, Florida, and PLD Acquisitions, which does business as Avema Pharma Solutions. Avema handles product development and manufacturing, while Swisher handles marketing and distribution.
Rogue flavors
Rogue pouches come in 11 flavors:
- Mint family: Wintergreen, Spearmint, Peppermint
- Fruit: Mango, Apple, Berry, Citrus
- Other: Honey Lemon, Cinnamon, Tabac (tobacco-style), Original
That’s a broader fruit selection than classic ZYN, which is part of Rogue’s appeal (see ZYN flavors to compare).
Strengths, can size and price
- Strengths: 3mg and 6mg pouches
- Can size: 20 pouches per can
- Price: MSRP of $5.64 a can, with online prices from about $3.64
Rogue also sells nicotine gum and lozenges in 2mg and 4mg. Retailers also list a stronger “Rogue Max” line, so check the strength on the can before you buy.
Is Rogue FDA-authorized?
As of the FDA’s list updated August 21, 2026, no Rogue products appear among the 43 FDA-authorized nicotine pouches. The FDA’s page states that the products on its list are the only nicotine pouches that may be lawfully sold in the US. Rogue products are nonetheless widely sold in US stores (see how the FDA review works).
Rogue vs ZYN
| Rogue | ZYN (classic) | |
|---|---|---|
| Maker | Rogue Holdings (Swisher / Avema) | Swedish Match (PMI) |
| Flavors | 11, including several fruit flavors | 10 core flavors, mostly mint |
| Strengths | 3mg, 6mg | 3mg, 6mg (plus 1.5mg and 8mg in 2026) |
| Pouches per can | 20 | 15 (moving to 20 in Q4 2026) |
| FDA authorization | Not on FDA list (Aug 2026) | 20 products authorized |
If you like fruit flavors, Rogue offers more of them. If FDA authorization matters to you, classic ZYN is on the list and Rogue isn’t. Both come in beginner-friendly 3mg. For our brand data, see the Rogue brand page and ZYN brand page.
Tips if you’re trying Rogue
- Start with 3mg if you’re new or switching brands. The same mg can feel different between brands (see why labels aren’t the whole story).
- Use the upper lip and keep each pouch to an hour or less (see how long to keep a pouch in).
- Don’t mix up products. Rogue’s gum and lozenges look different, but they’re also nicotine.
Bottom line
Rogue is a US nicotine pouch brand from Rogue Holdings, a Swisher International joint venture. It’s known for 11 flavors, including several fruit options, in 3mg and 6mg, 20 pouches per can, at an MSRP of $5.64. As of August 2026, Rogue wasn’t on the FDA’s authorized pouch list. It’s a good option if you want more flavor variety than classic ZYN, but start at 3mg if you’re switching.
